Questions?

We are here to help you. Find answers to common questions below.

  • No. Although I am Catholic, I gladly welcome clients of any faith or background. My goal is to provide hope in the darkness to any person who is struggling.

  • This is a personal decision. Your relationship with your Counsellor is one of the most important factors in whether the process will be fruitful. I offer a free 30-minute online meeting before your initial appointment. This gives us the opportunity to meet and you can assess how comfortable you are.

  • Yes, I provide Clergy and Religious services.

  • If you are struggling with patterns of emotional distress, interpersonal, or relational problems. If you have suffered trauma, abuse, bereavement, or are suffering from a diagnosable condition such as anxiety, depression, or any other mental health disorder.

  • 1 hour.

  • A sliding scale fee is offered based on your circumstances, this can be discussed at our free session.

  • All sessions are online via the secure video platform, Zoom.

  • My studies provide a unifying framework for understanding the human person from a Christian anthropology. I hold a master's degree in Catholic Philosophical Studies (St Joseph’s Seminary, New York), a master’s degree in Theology (Augustine Institute, Denver, Colorado), and a Master’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy (ICHAS, Limerick). Studying Aristotle and St Thomas Aquinas informs and supports my work as a Catholic therapist.

  • I previously worked in education as a teacher and school guidance counsellor and have worked closely with Mother Teresa’s congregation the Missionaries of Charity. My work with the homeless, drug addicts, prisoners and street children has taken me on various missions around the world.

I discerned a religious vocation with the Archdiocese of New York. I lived in New York for four and a half years, initially serving the poor in the South Bronx and then studying philosophy and theology while in seminary. I learned how to integrate my faith with reason and appreciate that God's gift of life is a call to serve others.

  • As a Catholic therapist, my professional code of conduct is defined by the Magisterium of the Catholic church. For example, the belief in the dignity of the human person, and the sanctity of marriage and sexuality.

As a Catholic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I recognise that God is the ultimate healer, and I am a vessel facilitating the healing process. The integration of prayer, the Scriptures, and the power of the Sacraments into the therapeutic process creates deep and long-term healing.
